Privacy Policy

Effective October 8, 2026

What we collect

Your account email, the professional profile you build, the credentials you enter, and the documents you upload. We also record when your profile or a share link is viewed, using a salted hash rather than a raw IP address.

What we ask you not to upload

Social Security numbers, medical or personal health records, drug test results, background-check reports, passport scans or other highly sensitive identity documents. TrulyMe is for professional credentials.

How your information is shared

Only as you direct: on your public profile according to each credential's visibility setting, through share links you create, and through credential requests you approve. We do not sell your data.

Documents

Uploaded documents are stored privately and are never public. They are reachable only through a share you created that allows them to be opened, via short-lived links. If a share allowed downloads, a copy someone saved while the share was active remains with them after you turn the share off.

Credential status

The status shown for each credential comes from the dates you entered and from whether you uploaded a document. A document on file is not an independent verification, and TrulyMe does not currently check credentials with their issuers. We do not share credential numbers unless you make them public or include them in a share.

Your choices

You can make your profile private, decline credential requests, turn off any share, delete credentials and documents, and ask us to delete your account.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the effective date above and tell you in the product.
